Since Nov. 1, 2021, Christian Küchen (born March 24, 1962) is Director General of the en2x –
Association for Fuels and Energy in Berlin.

Mr. Küchen studied process engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal and received
his doctorate degree in chemical reaction engineering. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Küchen was
responsible for the application technology of fuels engineering and fuel test benches of the
German Shell AG in Hamburg (Laboratory for Products, Applications and Development).

In 1995, he started as Technical Director at the Institute for Heat and Oil Technology (IWO) in
Hamburg and became sole Managing Director in July 2003 and, in December 2013, speaker of
the management board.

From April, 2015, until October, 2021, Mr. Küchen was General Manager of the German Mineral
Oil Industry Association (MWV), together with IWO predecessor of en2x.

Additionally, he is honorary professor at the RWTH Aachen University since June 2004.
